The Leavenworth Case: A Lawyer's Story

The Leavenworth Case: A Lawyer's Story - Anna Katharine Green I'd give this nice novel 10 stars for originality if it were possible. but alas! 5 of 5 anyway! I enjoyed every word of it. particularly I liked a refinement in the language.

Murder is committed by Mr Harwell who fell in love with Mary Leavenworth maniacally. He kills her uncle and afterwards her parlor-maid and makes a big stuff up. He wants it believable but He in the end couldn't calculate every aspect of it as the clever detective appears in his way to hinder.

I really liked a style of the writer and am looking forward to reading another novel of hers.
